Five Key Points to Keep in Mind While Attempting Top Banking Exams

Banking exams are regarded as one of the most sought-after career opportunities by both fresh graduates and experienced professionals. Many commercial banks (public and private) as well as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Development Banks (DABs) throughout the year advertise a wide range of positions, including IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, SBI Clerk, and so on.

English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, and general/banking awareness are all part of the syllabus for many of India's top national banking exams, including those offered by SBI, IBPS, RBI, and NABARD, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

A large number of aspirants fail to meet the cut-off for each of the sections listed above each year, despite their best efforts. Even if you pass the preliminary exams, you may not be selected for the next round, which includes the main exams and a personal interview.

To help you ace any upcoming banking exams, here are some essential tips:-

Aptitude for Numbers
Calculate more quickly and efficiently –
You'll save a lot of time by improving the speed of your calculations. You should be able to recall tables up to 20 and squares and cubes up to 30 and 20 at the very least. Using tricks for 2 and 3 digit multiplication can also help you get the job done quickly.

Each concept has a solid foundation.
Your progress will be hampered if you have any lingering questions about the foundational concepts in any of the chapters. When it comes to Quant's partnership section, for example, you need to understand the fundamentals of "ratio". Using concept-based formulas and as many questions and examples as possible is recommended.

The English language
Candidates can easily score above 30 in the prelims and 35 in the mains exams if they have a solid grasp of the fundamentals in this area. When it comes to grammar, simply practising is not going to help. It's a good idea to read a lot of editorials from reputable newspapers to improve your reading comprehension.

Insightful Reasoning
Logical reasoning is one of the sections that candidates frequently find difficult. However, for those who know their way around a variety of subjects, even this section can be useful. Special attention and practise are needed for topics such as puzzles and seating arrangements. You can easily earn 3 to 5 points by resolving a puzzle or arranging your seating. You will breeze through the reasoning section of the test if you work on your weak areas and take practise tests on a regular basis.

Knowledge of Banking and Financial Institutions
Every aspirant who has taken previous banking exams knows that questions typically cover events that occurred within the last six months prior to the exam date. Aspirants should also be familiar with the history of the Indian banking system and the latest financial news. If you know how to save time in this section, you'll get the highest score.

Regularly administer Mock tests.
Before moving on to the next topic, take as many quizzes as possible. Until then, you should only give mock tests on a regular basis when you feel confident and competent in at least half of the topics.

CHECK OUT MAJOR EDUCATION SYSTEM TRENDS.
Sectional cut-offs are what set banking exams apart from other standardised exams like SSC, RRB, and others. Section-wise cutoffs must also be met by candidates in the preliminary and final exams. Overall cut-offs for the IBPS PO Prelims and Mains were 59.75 in general category and 71.50 in general category for last year. You should take frequent breaks during exam preparation to refresh your mind and relieve stress, whether it's drinking a glass of water, going for a walk outside, or even just standing on your balcony to catch some fresh air. The more relaxed and confident you are when you take the exam, the better prepared you will be to perform well when the real test comes around.
